Big Break Update!


Hey folks, welcome to the Big Break Update
here we'll be adding a significant number of new Maneuvers, as well as Fables, Statuses, Elemental effects, and all kinds of shenanigans, including an expansion to the Narrative section that changes some of the feelings of the death spiral and opens more storytelling hooks
Take a look at all the changes below!

Character creation is being rebalanced and Simplified.  A new character has zero Fables and One maneuver rank, survive a Hunt to gain your First Reknown.

Crafting is also being Simplified, with base weapon and gear templates, and crafting becoming building upon and adding to those templates.

FABLES

Fairy Footed Feena

(W)

Act One: Whenever you use a Fast or Combo Maneuver, you may move 1 Space.

Act Two: Whenever you move as a result of this Fable, you may give a Charge die to an Ally character in Range 3

Act One: For each Wound you’ve taken, increase Defense by 3

MANEUVERS

Wyrd: Fuejara (W)

6S, Slow, Ranged, AoE 3

Catalyst, Magic: Weaving

Deal Cast+2d6 Fire damage to all targets in the AoE

Rank Two: Double all damage dealt to characters that are Burning

Rank Three: If you wound a Character that is already Burning, you may recast this Maneuver centered on the target for free

Both paupers and princes fear the flames.

Dhaste (W)

3S, Fast, Ranged

Catalyst, Magic: Stitching

Give another character in Range +3 Initiative and an additional Stamina die for the next 3 rounds.

Rank Two: Refund 6 Stamina for the target immediately

Rank Three: You may target yourself, and for +1S you can use it as an AoE 1

Willcrafter’s don’t think about the consquences of pumping VVyst directly into someone’s causality.

Trickshot (G)

2S, Reaction

Ranged

When you Roll a 3 of a kind on a Ranged Maneuver, you may Trickshot as a reaction,

Roll Shoot against a character in Range, ignoring line of sight and cover.

Rank Two: Add 1d6

Rank Three: If you Roll a 3 of a kind when using this Maneuver, you may Restore 1S

Coup De grâce (G)

4S, Finisher

Melee

Roll Strike+Xd6, where X is the number of Maneuvers you’ve used this activation. Double the damage you deal if the target is Stunned or Prone, you can only use this Maneuver against each Character once per Combat

Rank Two: If you kill the target with this Maneuver, Refund all Stamina

Rank Three: Instead, X is twice the number of Maneuver’s you’ve used this activation

Longshot (G)

5S, Slow

Ranged

Roll Shoot, you can use this Maneuver on targets up to double your weapons range.

Rank Two: Add 2d6

Rank Three: When you Roll a Pair, Restore 2S

Ramblooded

5S, Fast

Weight 1+

Move up to your Speed at a target Character, and make a contested Resolve Check. If you win, the target is Stunned, if you lose the target is knocked Prone

Rank Two: You may Shunt X, where X is your Weight

Rank Three: If you succeed the Check, Damage the target for each extra Hit.

Avenging Strike

6S, Fast

Roll Strike+Xd6, where X is half of your Defense value rounded up, you can only perform this Maneuver if you’ve been Wounded this round.

Rank Two: You can use this Maneuver if an allied character is Wounded this round.

Rank Three: X becomes your Defense

Flavour Text

Blitzrappe (W, P)

4S, Fast

Catalyst, Magic:Weaving, Breaking

Roll Strike+WP. Whenever you deal damage to the target until the end of the round, add your WP mod to those Maneuvers.

Rank Two: If you Wound the target with this Maneuver, Impair them.

Rank Three: If you Wound the target twice while under the effect of this Maneuver, they are Stunned until the end of the next round.

The first strike crackled with lightning, and the following echoed thunder.


NARRATIVE

Narrative play will be getting a fresh coat of paint with predefined Moves attached to each type of pillar, as well as a further anchoring of the Phases of play.
